I watched Csi:las vegas last night and it's so apt that the topic has something to do with the lenten season...God forgive me but i really hate this season because of the scorching heat which i think really coincides with lenten to make us suffer too.Whoever thought of it did it on purpose.Anyway while Gil Grissom is gazing at the crucified body of the murder victim he said something that made me think...

Well, Jesus died for our sins. What sin did she die for?"

If Jesus died for our sins then why do we have to ask for forgiveness when he already paid for it?We don't need to confess right? We don't need to feel guilty about the things we did because we have been forgiven even before we were born, right

What I can make from it is that Jesus was intended to basically be the ultimate prophet. By being the direct son of God he had a insight that the other prophets lacked. The sacrifice somewhat proved his divinity and by the very act of being a martyr fueled his cause. However, I'd love to point out that Jesus died to salvage our forefathers from their sins and I do not understand why we Christians have to celebrate Jesus' death every year. Isn't that blasphemy. I know everyone's not excited about it but others are because technically it becomes a holiday and people are expecting it and that makes us forget what that day is for. It is a day to say our silent prayers for forgiveness but others are just out there somewhere trying to have fun. Where's the justice in that? if it's indeed true that a son of God was crucifixed eons ago then we are all savages for we did not learn how to love a being that sacrificed himself to save us.
